Shooting Sports Scholarships, modern-day alchemy? How all that lead may be worth gold!

This last week the news cycle was filled with how the current administration aims to shift the burden of Student Debt onto the US Taxpayer. But how about if you could avoid the debt altogether? Did you know that many colleges and universities offer shooting sports scholarships? The number of schools with such programs is growing every year. Yet, most people don’t know about these opportunities.

This lack of knowledge is unfortunate because shooting sports scholarships can be a great way to help pay for college. In addition to the scholarship money itself, there are often other benefits associated with winning a scholarship, such as free equipment, travel allowances, and paid entry into tournaments.

As LASR, we team with organizations and young athletes who push themselves to excel and embrace our American values and culture. One of those organizations is the Scholastic Action Shooting Program, part of the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation. They award scholarships to youth who participate in SASP and apply for the scholarships as an organization. They’re not alone, and if you search duckduckgo, you’ll find other organizations, universities, and colleges with Shooting Sports Scholarships.

If you’re interested in pursuing a shooting sports scholarship, the first step is to research the available programs. If you are looking at a specific university or college, start by visiting the websites of various colleges and universities to see if they offer any shooting sports scholarships.

Then, contact the schools directly to learn more about their specific program requirements and application process. Once you’ve gathered this information, you can begin preparing your application materials.

With a little hard work and dedication, winning a shooting sports scholarship can be a reality. So, don’t wait any longer; get started on your research today!
