What is a Recoil Trainer?
A recoil trainer is a device that simulates the recoil of a firearm. This allows shooters to train with a reciprocating slide and without using live ammunition, which is safer and more cost-effective in the long run. In dry fire, recoil is not necessary; however, after reaching a certain level in your training, recoil trainers can be that last feature that improves your accuracy and technique, as they provide a degree of disruption to your sight picture and sight alignment when dry firing just as recoil would in live fire.
How Does LASR Work with Recoil Trainers?
LASR Classic (Windows Environment is required) is our software specially designed for recoil trainers. Along with LASR Classic, you'll also need to pick up a LASR Classic Advanced Camera (LCAC) to be able to pick up the extremely short laser pulse employed by the emitters in recoil simulators. The LCAC is only compatible with LASR Classic and has both a high-speed shutter and infrared capabilities.
